In view of prevalence of Dengue in some parts of the Killa Block, the Gomati District committee of All Tripura Government Doctors Association (ATGDA) in collaboration with Health & Family Welfare Department organised a Special Health Camp and awareness camp in Uttar Brajendra Nagar ADC Village areas under Killa Block in Tripura on Saturday.

 

Recently in some parts of Killa Block area have been affected by the prevalence of Dengue, a vector borne communicable disease, where various interventions are being taken to contain the disease.

 

Elaborating the services given in the camp Dr. Joyshankar Majumder, General Secretary of ATGDA’s Gomati District Committee said a total of 155 patients including 25 nos of children have been screened in the camp in free of cost.

 

Dr. Param Kar who is also a CWC member of Association and Dr. Swapan Chakma, Microbiologist have given the specialist services in the camp.

 

Five suspected persons have been screened for dengue. Dr. Aniruddha Roy, MO of TS SDH and Dr. Tamal Debbarma have also attended the camp to provide the services.

 

During the camp, awareness on prevention of dengue and importance of routine vaccination and covid vaccination were also addressed by the resource persons.

 

Five fever cases, 24 nos of patients suffering from ARI, 10 Nos of hypertension have also been detected. All patients who required medicines have been provided medicines free of cost as well.
