Smart TV for Govt run ST Hostels
In an attempt to improve the infrastructure in Government-run ST Hostels, the Tribal Welfare Department of the Government of Tripura has taken various plans – steps have also been taken for the educational development of students living in government-run ST hostels. It has been informed that 51 Smart Television sets have been provided to different government-run ST Boys and Girls hostels, each hostel receiving one Smart Television set.
The main objective of this initiative is to motivate and encourage ST students towards acquiring educational knowledge on various aspects apart from the traditional way of learning.
The remaining government-run ST hostels will be provided with Smart Televisions sets in the coming days. This was informed in a press release issued by the Director of Tribal Welfare Dr. Vishal Kumar.
Assistance for pig rearing to 400 families in Unakoti district under CMSPY
Assistance for pig rearing is being provided to 400 beneficiary families in Unakoti district under Chief Minister Swanirbhar Parivar Yojana. So far, 93 beneficiary families of the district were given piglets. 100 families each from Pecharthal, Kumarghat, Gouranagar and Chandipur blocks of the district will be given assistance for pig rearing.
So far, 19 families from Chandipur block, 35 from Gouranagar block, 5 from Kumarghat block and 34 families from Pecharthal block were given assistance. 30 lakh rupees will be spent in the implementation of the programme. This was informed by the district ARDD office.
