Mizoram Sports Minister Robert R Royte who was born in Tripura visited Jampui Hills and pitched for a cordial relation between Tripura and Mizoram for the betterment of both States.
He appealed to the Mizo people living in Tripura to cooperate with the Tripura Government. The Mizoram Minister also asserted that the Mizoram Government would continue its good relationship with Tripura.
During his visit on December 22-23, the Mizoram Minister donated sports items to the jawans of TSR at Phuldungsei.
In an attempt to extend goodwill and love for the people of Tripura, Robert R Royte distributed Football, Volleyball and Volleyball Net etc to TSR jawans. He also expressed his gratitude towards the people of the state through such activity.
Speaking about the TSR and Mizoram Police, Royte said he had a very good time together with Tripura Police and Mizoram Police. The Mizoram Minister said, he had told them together Tripura and Mizoram can make a great difference in the socio-cultural and economic advancement of the two sister states – Tripura and Mizoram.
He exhorted, “Let us make the relationship between the two states ‘a win-win relationship’,”
Sports Minister Robert R. Royte, who looks after the Tourism and ICT Deptts of the Government of Mizoram, was born at Hmawngchuan Village of Jampui Hills.
A well-known entrepreneur and Owner of Aizawl Football Club, Royte appealed to the Mizos in Tripura to be ambassadors of peace and development and also to give support and cooperation to the government of Tripura.
He said “Mizoram government will continue to have a good relationship with the government of Tripura and its people.
“I am happy to learn that Pu Biblab Kumar Deb, Hon’ble CM and his lady Wife Pi Niti Deb have paid a visit to Jampui Hills. Their love and concern for the people deserve appreciation” said Royte during his address to the people of Jampui Hills.
