A Bicycle Rally was organized in Agartala on Sunday highlighting the growing need of being energy efficient for the sake of environment.

ONGC Tripura Asset organized the Bicycle Rally as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav on Sunday. In Tripura, several programmes are being conducted by the State Government as well as private organizations celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Taking part in the celebration, the ONGC Tripura Asset stressed the need to aware people about the Green and clean energy. For this purpose, the bicycle rally with a call for shifting to cycling for a shorter distance was held today.

The rally also highlights the need to save energy and raise awareness among the people regarding the need to adopt energy efficient methods especially for transportation.

To encourage people, the rally also highlighted the ‘Heritage on padals’ and started a yearlong campaign ‘towards a car-free future’.

The bicycle rally sent a loud and important message of going for Green and Clean Energy to people.

The rally started from the ONGC Complex on that day. ONGC Tripura Asset Manager Tarun Malik and TNGCL officials were present. Employees of different levels took part in the program. There was a lot of response around the rally.

As the pollution in Agartala city and towns of Tripura are increasing, the Bicycle rally encouraged people to go for cycling and avoid fuel-driven vehicle for a healthy future.
