Jail Minister of Tripura Ram Prasad Paul recently visited Haryana and came across some innovative reforms including ‘Parivaar Pehchan Patra’ for quick identification of beneficiaries of different Govt schemes and Issuance of IDs for properties to rein in land sharks.
He was in all praises of the Haryana government while giving an interview to a news channel of Haryana and said, ““The Haryana Government introduced ‘Parivaar Pehchan Patra’ which is a unique initiative for collecting data about members of each family. The Data will greatly help to identify beneficiaries of government schemes in a quick and transparent manner. Besides, assigning IDs for properties is another crucial reform to combat the land mafias.”
Influenced by these policies of the Haryana govt, Paul said that he would consult with the Tripura Government and explore possibilities of introducing such initiatives in Tripura for the welfare of people.
In the interview the news channel, the Jail Minister also highlighted the achievement of the BJP-led Government in Tripura braving the onslaught of the Covid pandemic.
He said, Tripura was the first State in the country to complete 100 percent covid vaccination. Pal also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the success of Tripura in Covid vaccination drive in one of his Mann Ki Baat episodes.
Commenting on Tripura government’s focus after assuming power in 2018, Ram Prasad Paul said, “During the 35 years long Communist rule, Opposition party activists faced political violence and discriminations”.
He continued and said, “Employees and businessmen faced political extortion in the name of donations to party funds. Use of money, muscle and political powers was rampant in the State.”
In view of such a situation, he said, the prime focus of BJP-led government in Tripura was to rein in long practiced political vendetta, collection of subscriptions from people and refusal to register case against social crimes without consent of local party leaders as well as bringing transparency. And, the government succeeded in its endeavour.
Besides, he also mentioned successful implementation of various government schemes in the state paving way for a holistic growth.
