The Central Government notified the transfer/repatriation of Judge of High Court of Tripura Justice Subhashish Talapatra along with five other Judges on Wednesday.
On May 27, Supreme Court Collegium , which is headed by Chief Justice N.V. Ramana recommended the transfer of six High Court Judges.
As per the recommendation, the Centre notified the transfer of Subhasis Talapatra from the High Court of Tripura to the Orissa High Court.
The Centre also notified the transfer of Justice LanusungkumJamir from the Manipur High Court to the Gauhati High Court.
Besides, the transfer of Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah from the Andhra Pradesh High Court to the Patna High Court and the transfer of Justice Chitta Ranjan Dash from the Orissa High Court to the Calcutta High Court, the transfer of Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav from the Madhya Pradesh High Court to the Delhi High Court, and the transfer of Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court to the Bombay High Court were also notified today..
As Justice Talapatra is transferred, there will be four judges in the High Court of Tripura – Chief Justice Indrajit Mahanty, Justice T. Amarnath Goud, Justice Arindam Lodh and Justice S.G. Chattopadhyay.
