All India General Secretary of BJP and Tripura by-poll in-charge Kailash Vijay Vargiya attended a Karyakarta meeting held at Deochhara Community Hall under North Tripura district.
The meeting focused interaction with local party leaders and activists of different frontal wings and to fine tune the by-poll strategies. Jubarajnagar Assembly seat will undergo by-poll due to death of CPM MLA Ramendra Debnath.
Even though, BJP conceded the seat in 2018 Assembly polls, the saffron party is trying all out to ensure victory of its candidate – Malina Debnath.
Hectic political campaigns by all the major parties are in peak – everyday, candidates of different parties are meeting the voters in door-to-door campaign. Like other parties, Malina Debnath of BJP is also contacting people and trying to garner supports.
In the meeting, Kailash Vijay Vargiya and other leader explored and discussed different aspects relating to the campaigning. A detailed time table was prepared for the party leaders and activists till June 26 – the day of vote counting, party sources said.
The meeting was held on Saturday in which Vijay Vargiya was the keynote speaker in presence of Deputy Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen, Ministers – Bhagawan Das and Santana Chakma, BJP State general secretary Tinku Roy, MLA of Panisagar Binoy Bhushan Das and Sabhadhipati of North District Zila Parishad.
Party leaders are optimistic about victory of Malina Debnath in the by-poll.
