After Tripura Pradesh Congress, State unit of Trinamool Congress on Wednesday also released a ‘charge-sheet’. The TMC charge-sheet specifically focused local issues in the four poll-bound assembly constituencies.
On earlier occasion, Tripura Pradesh Congress too released ‘charge-sheet’ against the ruling BJP government.
Addressing a press conference at Agartala Press Club, TMC MP Sushmita Dev said a survey was been conducted in 6- Agartala, 8- Town Bordowali, 46- Surma and 57- Jubarajnagar seats – assembly by-polls will be held these constituencies on June 23 – to prepare the charge-sheet. The document highlighted the people’s woes.
Trinamool Congress state president Subal Bhowmik said the party would make the full-fledged charge-sheet public after getting permission from the Election Commission.
“The BJP has not fulfilled a single promise made in the Vision Document. In the charge-sheet, we highlighted the local issues. After getting necessary permission from the Election Commission, we will distribute the full-fledged document,” Bhowmik told the reporters.
He criticized the role of the BJP government on various issues including unemployment. According to Bhowmik, Tripura has the highest unemployment rate in the country.
Dev said, non-availability of water connection in some places and bad road condition are among the major issues in the constituency-wise charge-sheet.
The charge-sheet of Jubarajnagar and Surma would be released on tomorrow (Thursday) or a day after, she said, adding that the party is yet to receive permission from the Election Commission for distribution of the document.
Two TMC nominated candidates- Panna Deb (Agartala) and Sanhita Banerjee (Town Bordowali) along with party’s youth leaders from West Bengal were present in the press conference.
