Bharatiya Janata Party is confident of its victories in Surma and three other Assembly constituencies with comfortable margins because, the BJP government worked for the welfare of the people during the last four years, said Agriculture and farmers’ Welfare Minister Pranajit Singha Roy.

The Minister along with MP Rebati Tripura, district BJP president Parimal Debbarma and other BJP leaders went to inspect preparations and sites in Surma Constituency area on Wednesday for the upcoming series of poll campaigns on successive days by the Star Campaigners of the party.

Speaking to the media, Singha Roy said, Campaign blitz by the Star campaigners of BJP will start in Surma from Thursday (June 16). Party leaders will hit campaign trails in different areas under the 46-Surma constituency to garner more support for the party candidate.

He said, the campaign blitz in Surma will begin with an election rally will be held at Mahabir Tea Garden area tomorrow in which Union Minister Rameswar Teli accompanied by former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will address the rally.

Preparation for tomorrow’s rally is running in full swing, Singha Roy said.

“On June 17, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha will hold an election rally at Marachhara. We have inspected the preparation for the meeting also”, he said.

The Minister continued and said, Chief Minister of Assam and NEDA chairman Hemant Biswa Sharma along with Biplab Deb will address a poll rally on June 18 next.
