Referring to protest agitation by the T-TET 2021 teachers, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said incumbent BJP-led government does not support agitation but relies on discussion to resolve any crisis.
Nath said Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, who recently won a by-poll but yet to take oath, would be briefed about the present status of the T-TET 2021 recruitment. Dr Saha is at Hyderabad now to attend the ongoing National Executive Committee meeting of BJP.
As the T-TET 2021 qualified aspirants on Saturday staged protest in front of the residence of Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath, demanding an immediate recruitment drive for 3,600 qualified aspirants, the minister Ratan Lal Nath claimed that the government is contemplating recruitment of teachers of all sections soon to meet the crisis.
“Recruiting all the qualified aspirants together is impossible for any government. Despite that we are contemplating accordingly to meet the teachers’ crisis soon,” Nath said, adding that soon after the Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, presently outside the state reach state, the department shall sit together in presence of the Finance Minister to finalize the process of recruitment of around 600 candidates.
Nath assured of resolving the issue of recruitment process before Durga Puja and said, “Very soon 600 teachers will be recruited.”
“We have released postings of over 200 graduate and post-graduate teachers in the last couple of days. So, we are trying to fill up the gap as soon as possible,” said told reporters on Saturday.
The minister said, “The aspirants, who showed protest are not in big numbers, so accordingly we shall take the matter of their recruitment with the Chief Minister and the finance minister.”
The protestors gheraoed the residence of the minister and sought clarification regarding clouds of uncertainty hovering over their future.
