A humble tin roofed dwelling in North Tripura is illuminated with a dream – a talented youngster is working hard to become a doctor. Equally aware of the cost involved in studying medical science and his father’s financial capability, the boy is determined to defy all the odds and realize his dreams.

Congratulations and greetings continue to pour in for Subhrajit Nath – a brilliant student of Kadamtala High School in North Tripura.

Born in a financially weak family, Subhajit Nath of Sarasgram in Kadamtala overcame all the odds and excelled in TBSE conducted Madhyamik Examination 2022. Even though the TBSE did not publish any merit list, the school authority said Subhrajit secured 5th place on the merit list.

His father, Nirmal Kanti Nath, an auto driver by profession worked hard and did not allow affecting the studies of his son owing to severe financial constraints. Nirmal Kanti’s family is one of those families which are yet to get the benefits of PM Awas Yojana.

However, local ruling party leaders said the name of the family featured in the D-list and they would get a pucca house under the PMAY soon.

After Subhrahit emerged successful in the Madhyamik Exam, Nirmal Kanti appealed to the Government and others including the political leaders to come forward and help his son to maintain his successful journey in higher studies as well.

Responding to his call and impressed by the hunger for success in the eyes of Subhajit, several people had already stood behind the family.

On Sunday (July 24),  Assistant Sabhadhipati of the North District Zilla Parishad Biswajit Ghosh, local Mandal president Raja Dhar and others visited the residence of Subhrajit and assured him of financial assistance in future.

They also assured that the sanction of a pucca house under PMAY would be released soon.

Subhrajit wants to study Medical science in future. He is well aware of the fact that it is quite a difficult task for him considering his financial condition – however, a determined Subhrajit is committed to defying the harsh reality and pursuing his dream.
