In a gruesome incident, one minor boy reportedly killed four persons of his family, buried the bodies and fled away.
The incident took place under Durai Shibbari Panchayat under Kamalpur in Tripura on Saturday (Nov 5).
In a tweet, Tripura Police wrote, “The accused had been arrested within few hours of incident.
According to a press release issued by Tripura Police, “In a gruesome incident on 05/11/2022 night one minor boy killed 4 (four) of his family members namely (1) Badal Debnath (70) (grandfather of the accused) (2) Samita Debnath (32) (mother) W/o Shri Haradhan Debnath (3) Suparna Debnath (10) (sister) D/o Shri Haradhan Debnath and (4) Rekha Deb (42) (relative) D/o Lt. Dhirendra Deb all of Dural Shivbari, under Kamalpur police station.
After commission of crime the accused buried all the victims’ body in a pit near the courtyard of the house of the accused and fled away.
After receiving the information police including Superintendent of Police, Dhalai reached at the spot Immediately police registered a specific case vide Kamalpur police station case No 63/2022 U/S 302 IPC and started investigation.
During investigation of the case using scientific and technical aid police detained the accused person within few hours of the incident for further legal action. Investigation is in progress to unearth the motive of the crime”.
Superintendent of Police, Dhalai Ramesh Chandra Yadav visited the place of occurrence on Sunday morning. Kamalpur police picked up the minor accused from Halahali petrol pump area.
Accused minor boy’s father, Haradhan Debnath is reported to be a car driver by profession. He was not present at house during the crime, sources claimed.
