The Chief Minister of Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha, said the swift establishment of Agartala Government Dental College depicts the government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare services across all levels in the State.

He acknowledged the rapid realization of this significant healthcare institution, underscoring the imperative of upholding its standards moving forward.

“Fulfilling the aspiration of the people of Tripura, the establishment of Agartala Government Dental College has been possible within a very short period; now, the responsibility is to maintain its standard,” he said.

Addressing the inaugural session of a two-day state-level training program for Dental Surgeons, Dr. Saha emphasized the dedication of medical personnel to providing essential healthcare to the populace. 

The training programme was organized in collaboration with the National Oral Health Programme under the National Health Mission and the Indian Dental Association’s Tripura State Branch.

“The establishment of specialized and super-specialized medical services within the state has led to a substantial decrease in referral cases, as various intricate medical treatments are now accessible within Tripura”. “

This progression has markedly benefited patients while strengthening the state’s healthcare landscape”, Dr Saha who himself an eminent Dental surgeon said.

The Chief Minister also pointed out, that the doctors and other medical staff have been working sincerely to ensure healthcare to the people.

During the event, the Chief Minister highlighted several other notable initiatives undertaken by the government to fortify healthcare services. The program also witnessed the presence of esteemed medical figures, including Padma Shri Dr. Shadab Mohammad, who was felicitated by Dr. Saha.

Distinguished individuals such as Dr. Anjan Das, Director in charge of the Health and Family Welfare Department; Dr. Harprasad Sharma, Director of Medical Education; and Dr. Supriya Mallik, Director in charge of Tripura Health Services, were also in attendance.
