ProMASS, Agartala, Sep 9, 2016: All India General Secretary of BJP, Ram Madhab will arrive in Agartala on Sep 15 in a one-day tour to oversee the organizational activities of the State BJP unit, sources informed this today in Agartala.
Political sources claimed, Ram Madhab’s visit assumes a lot of significance in the backdrop on frequent Tripura visits by All India Trinamool Congress Vice President Mukul Roy. Recently, TMC has stepped up its activities in Tripura and as usual, ruling CPI-M has already launched aggressive campaigns on a host of issues. In contrast, BJP is appeared to be lost in wilderness. It remains to be seen whether Ram Madhab’s State visit can rejuvenate the State BJP Unit.
Moreover, both BJP and TMC are worried about sharing anti-Left votes in State. Though there is no report of possibility of alliance, it is learnt leaders of both TMC and BJP are chalking out plans to minimize the effects of vote sharing of anti-Left votes. Overall, Ram Madhab’s State visit, at this crucial juncture, is seen as a significant development by political analysts.
