The Tripura government has decided to recruit for 53 different positions in the Finance and Health Departments. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced the decision after a Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Friday.
Out of these 53 positions, 23 are for Senior Computer Assistants Group-C under the Finance Department. These posts will be filled through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC). Ten vacancies for LDC will also be filled in the Finance Department through the TPSC. Ten Temporary Dental Technicians and Ten Temporary Dental Hygienists will be recruited in the Health Department.
In addition to these decisions, the Tourism Minister informed the media that decisions have been taken to provide 19,796 more smartphones to the youth of the state through the Chief Minister’s Youth Connect scheme. This will cost the state government Rs 9 crore 89 lakh.
So far, 28,745 students have been given smartphones in the state through the Chief Minister’s Youth Connect scheme. In the Cabinet meeting today, a decision was taken to give smartphones to another 19,796 people. These smartphones will be given to final year students studying in government colleges of the state.
Besides, the state government has also decided to construct another Tripura Bhavan at Dwarka, Sector-17, Plot No. 3 in New Delhi. The Tripura government will have to pay Rs 23 crore 66 lakh 23 thousand 70 for the land to the Delhi Development Authority for the construction of this Tripura Bhavan.
The Tourism Minister said that the decisions were taken keeping in mind the convenience and needs of the people of the entire state.
It is expected that these smartphones will help students in their education, employment and social interaction.
