Aradhya Das, the youngest female Candidate Master from the Northeast, has once again showcased her brilliance on the international stage.
The talented fifth-grader from Sri Krishna Mission School clinched a silver medal in the Blitz category at the Asian School Chess Championship held in Thailand.
This victory marks her fourth medal in the tournament, having already earned accolades in the Classical and Rapid formats.
On Tuesday, the Blitz tournament saw intense competition over nine rounds. Aradhya displayed remarkable skill, securing five wins, three draws, and only one loss to amass a total of 6.5 points.
Her exceptional performance earned her the silver medal, further solidifying her status as a rising star in Indian chess.
Despite her success, Aradhya expressed a desire to perform even better.
“I’m happy with my performance, but I believe I could have done more,” she shared with optimism.
The young chess prodigy is set to return to India on Wednesday.Without a moment’s rest, she will head to Kolkata to participate in the Under-13 National Chess Championship, beginning on December 17.
Confident after her stellar performance in Thailand, Aradhya aims to carry her winning momentum into the national stage.
