May 4, 2017: Women’s wing of CPM today hit streets in Agartala in large number and rapped State unit of BJP for running ‘malicious’ against Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. Addressing protestors, secretary of All India Democratic Mahila Samiti, Rama Das lambasted BJP leadership for indulging in ‘false’ propaganda and appealed to stage a united fight against BJP.
Rama Das said, Several organizations across the country felicitated Manik Sarkar for his achievement and the whole country is observing that alternative economic policy of Manik Sarkar led Left Government has put Tripura on growth path.
She also referred to comment allegedly made by the president of State BJP relating to EVM where he reportedly stated that even Chief Minister’s vote would go in favour of BJP. Such a statement aptly describes extent of audacity of BJP leadership, she alleged.
In a hard hitting speech, Rama Das accused BJP of unleashing malicious campaign and hoping that such campaign will help BJP to win in forthcoming Assembly Polls. “Conspiracy to dislodge CPM from power was hatched during earlier elections too and this time also conspirators have become hyperactive” she alleged. But she exuded confidence that, CPM with the support of common people of the State will defeat conspirators, like it did on previous occasions.
“BJP leadership is unaware about the fact that people of Tripura are politically conscious”, she said and expressed hope that people would give BJP befitting reply in forthcoming polls. “We never talked about why Adityanath wears diamond ring. It is his choice, so why bother – let him wear”, she said and added Leftists believe in ideological fight, not personal attack, for winning elections.
She emphasized on further enhancing relationship with people and build a united fight against BJP which is trying to ‘malign’ Chief Minister.
