June 3, 2017: After Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, it was turn for Sarbananda Sonowal to participate in celebration to mark completion of 3rd anniversary of Modi-led NDA Government.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today inaugurated ‘MODI Fest’ – a three-day outreach programme at Santirbazar HS (+2) School in South Tripura. The Fest aims at highlighting achievements of Modi-led Government during last three years.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal said, Atal Bihari Vajpayee scripted path for development of North Eastern Region while Modi-led Government has implemented the initiatives for overall development of NE Region”.

Later Sonowal took a chopper ride and reached Udaipur under Gomati District where he addressed a public meeting at KBI School ground. He claimed, country has made significant progress in last three years under Narendra Modi-led Government.
Highlighting initiatives undertaken by the Modi Government for NE region, Sonowal said, construction new airports as well as expansion of existing airports, sanctions for constructing five National Highways and connectivity with Bangladesh are some of the developmental initiatives of Modi Government. State BJP president Biplab Deb, State observer Sunil Deodhar and other leaders were also present in MODI Fest and public meeting.
Addressing a press conference at Agartala today evening, Sonowal did not rule out possibility of electoral understanding with anti-Left parties, however, he maintained, Tripura Pradesh BJP will take a final call on it at an appropriate time if there is a need to an electoral understanding. Exuding confidence Sonowal remarked, BJP will certainly form the next government in Tripura.
Speaking On the Assam-Agartala national highway, considered to be lifeline of the state, Sonowal said an Addl Chief Secretary has been assigned to oversee the national highway’s repairing work. “Today, I had a review meeting on the works of national highway and we are committed to ensure normal traffic on the national highway during the monsoon season”, he pointed out.
