June 11, 2017: Commenting poll alliance with Congress, The State secretary of CPM, Bijan Dhar categorically ruled out any possibility of poll alliance with Congress in ensuing Tripura Assembly Polls. However, he said CPM can organize protest programmes on common issues relating to welfare of people and anti-people policy of the Central Government.

He was reacting to a comment reportedly made by AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi to Tripura Congress leader Gopal Roy.
He said, Tripura and other North Eastern States are facing several acute problems under Modi regime and CPM has no reservation to lunch joint agitation programmes with other parties.
