July 22, 2017: Arunachal Pradesh government has termed Friday’s Bandh called by Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee in the Itanagar capital complex area as illegal, anti-people and anti-Arunachal.
In a press conference on Friday Government Spokesperson Bamang Felix said that the Bandh called was a complete failure. He said the popular mandate of the public was against the regressive policy of Bandh culture.
Mr. Felix informed that there was 100 percent attendance in all government offices and school- colleges were also open. There was no any incident of violence reported due to the Bandh called through out the day.
APCC had called a 12 hr bandh in the Itanagar Capital complex area on Friday in demand of relieving the Chief Secretary in-Charge and Principal Secy Satya Gopal from his duty who has been transfered.
The party has alleged Mr. Gopal of misguiding Election Commission in rescinding the bye -election to Pakke Kesang Assembly Constituency which was scheduled on July 29 next. (AIR NEWS)
