Patna, Bihar (5.38): Congress leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh reacted to the attack on Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha.
He said the Congress party has never supported attacks or violence.
“Our party does not believe in such acts,” he added.

Lakhisarai, Bihar (4.00): Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha said, “Our division booth was attacked even yesterday.”
He stated that the matter was reported to the police station and the SP, but no arrests followed.
According to him, the incident was ignored and brushed aside.
“Today again, there was an attempt to attack in Sar Maff,” he added.
Sinha said they informed the SP that weak administration is encouraging such lawless behaviour.

Bihar: (3.05 pm): Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has ordered prompt action after the attack on Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha.
He directed the Bihar DGP to respond swiftly to the incident.
The CEC warned that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
Patna, Bihar (1:59): BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad questioned the attitude of the RJD.
He asked, “What has happened to them? Have they already given up?”
Prasad said the party is now complaining about slow voting, power cuts, and alleged bias by the Election Commission.
He pointed out that there is no evidence to support these claims.
“Without any proof, they have started crying foul,” he said.
According to Prasad, the RJD is quitting the contest even before the polling is over.
He termed this behaviour as completely wrong.
Bihar (1:20 pm): On 1st phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha says, “The situation is absolutely clear. The voting in favor of the NDA is even beyond what we had expected.”
Patna, Bihar (1.15 pm): MP Shambhavi Choudhary says, “I have cast my vote, and I earnestly urge all residents of Bihar to exercise their voting rights in large numbers. Voting is our greatest right and a constitutional duty. The decisions we make today will determine the future of our state and our country.”
Munger, Bihar (1.10 pm): District Officer, Nikhil Dhanraj, says, “A large number of people have voted this morning. By around 11 AM, our voter turnout was about 13%. We are continuing to monitor the situation. The voter turnout is improving steadily, and as time passes, more people will come to cast their votes. I have personally voted at the Munger Municipal Corporation. I appeal to everyone else to come and exercise their right to vote.”
