Agartala, April 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the return of the highly anticipated TATA IPL Fan Parks for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. This year, the initiative will expand its reach to 50 cities across 23 states , including Tripura and one Union Territory, offering a larger-than-ever celebration of cricket.

Agartala has been chosen as one of the host cities for this two-day cricket celebration, scheduled for April 12 and 13, at the Swami Vivekananda Ground, Astabal. The event promises a vibrant blend of live match screenings, music, entertainment, and fan-centric activities that aim to recreate the stadium atmosphere for local fans — all with free entry.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Fan Park site in Agartala on Friday, officials from the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) shared the full lineup of matches that fans can enjoy. The action kicks off at 2:30 pm on April 12, with Lucknow Super Giants taking on Gujarat Titans, followed by a clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. On April 13, the cricket frenzy continues as Rajasthan Royals face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at 2:30 PM, and the evening concludes with a match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

TCA President Tapan Lodh, Secretary Subrata Dey, Treasurer Basudeb Chakraborty, and TATA IPL Fan Park representative Irfan Dadan were present at the event. They assured that comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth, safe, and exhilarating experience for all attendees.

Notably, the Tata IPL has evolved far beyond its earlier days, transforming into a grander, more electrifying spectacle. Beyond the vibrant cheering and colorful face painting, daring skill showcases make this season a paradise for cricket lovers. The IPL 2025 Fan Park channels this passion, offering fans a vibrant platform to celebrate their devotion to the sport, their cherished teams, and the exhilarating moments that define the game.

Spanning 50 cities, these Fan Parks has ignited IPL fever across the nation. Giant screens will broadcast every heart-pounding moment, delivering live action with each ball, immersing fans in a stadium-like experience. This is an event no cricket enthusiast can resist.

With free entry, refreshing drinks, lively music, and engaging activities sponsored by the IPL’s official partners, the excitement promises to be twice as thrilling.

According to Indian Premier League web portal, the 2025 edition of the IPL Fan Parks will span 10 weekends, starting on March 22, 2025, and concluding on May 25, 2025. From Tinsukia (Assam) in the northeast to Kochi (Kerala) in the south and from Amritsar (Punjab) in the north to Goa in the west, the Fan Parks will cover the length and breadth of India.

Complete with live match screenings, music, entertainment, food courts, a kids’ play zone, and exciting activations including a virtual batting zone, bowling through nets, face-painting zones, replica dugouts, a cheer-o-meter, and 360° photo booths, the IPL Fan Parks have aimed to engage fans and bring the thrill of the IPL to every corner of the country since their inception in 2015.

Cricket fans in Agartala and beyond now have a thrilling reason to come together this weekend — to celebrate the IPL in a whole new way, right in their own city.
