Agartala (Tripura) Jul 19: The title deciding match in ‘Neeljyoti’ Rakhal Shield Knockout Football Tournament will be played between Blood Mouth Club and Forward Club.
The tournament, organized by the state football association has reached its final stage after Blood Mouth Club secured their place in the final after defeating Kalyan Samiti today.
In the title-deciding clash, Blood Mouth Club will face Forward Club which will kick off at 6 pm on July 21 at Umakanta Mini Stadium.
In the second semifinal, Blood Mouth Club dominated Kalyan Samiti on Saturday. In the floodlit match at Umakanta Mini Stadium, the orange-and-black team’s players dominated from the start.
Karnendu Debbarma’s boys took control of the midfield early on, giving Blood Mouth Club the upper hand. In the 8th minute, Milan Singh scored to put Blood Mouth Club ahead.
Despite counter-attacks to level the score, Kalyan Samiti failed to find the net in the first half due to their attacking line’s shortcomings.
Just a minute before the first half ended, Peter Singh doubled the lead.
In the second half, Kalyan Samiti’s players launched counter-attacks but failed to break through Blood Mouth’s defense from the start.
In the 79th minute, Fang Hang Subba, a player from East Bengal Club’s junior team, reduced the deficit, giving Kalyan Samiti a glimmer of hope.
However, in the 82nd minute, Dhakeshwar Singh scored Blood Mouth’s third goal, ensuring the orange-and-black team’s place in the final.

Blood Mouth Club secured a 3-1 victory, earning their spot in the final. The match was officiated by Dhanesh Shah.
The first semi-final of the tournament, played on July 18, witnessed intense battle between the Forward Club and Nine Bullets. After the match ended 1-1 at the end of regulation time, the match went into extra time.

In the 7th minute of the first half of extra time, Forward Club’s forward Chongchong found the net again for the team, giving the Forward Club a 2-1 lead victory securing a spot in the final of the Tournament.
