All Tripura Merchant's Association applauds Union Budget

All Tripura Merchant’s Association members hail the decision to reduce Corporate Tax. The Association also hailed the move to boost up exports and reduction in prices of edible oils.

 

Reacting on the Budget proposals, Secretary of the All Tripura Merchant’s Association, Sujit Roy said, “We are welcoming the decision relating to slashing the corporate tax to 15 percent which was 17-18 percent earlier. Besides, the proposal for filling Income Tax returns in two years instead of within One year is an appreciable move, Roy asserted.

  

He also said the budget has been prepared keeping in mind the blue print for the next 25 years. This will benefit business and commerce in the state as well as the country. The blue print has been scripted targeting at attaining Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

 

Roy further said, the Budget emphasized boosting export and reducing reliance on imports -  this will benefit the State as the Special Economic Zone set up at Sabroom be able to focus on exports.

 

He also underscored the Single Window facility in the state announced by the Chief Minister  he said, from now on Single Window will be introduced all over the country.

 

Besides, he appreciated the attention of Finance Minister to reduce price of edible oil as she assured to reduce different kinds of tax on edible oil. According the Association members it will help to combat price rise and benefit the common people.

 

The members also pointed out PM’s initiatives for North Eastern Region mentioned in the Union Budget. 

 

The Association members opined, it is a pro-people and sensible budget.
