The Bangla Sanskriti Boloy (Bengali Cultural Circle) captivated the audience at the grand Mahakumbh with a vibrant dance performance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Tripura.
A team of 15 talented dance artists from the Dharmanagar under the North Tripura and Agartala units of the Bangla Sanskriti Boloy took center stage, enthralling spectators with the mesmerizing beats of Dhamaail.
The group was part of a 30-member dance troupe sent by Tripura’s Information and Culture Department. The troupe included 15 artists from the Bangla Sanskriti Boloy, while the remaining 15 were tribal dance performers, reflecting the state's diverse artistic traditions.
Adding to Tripura’s cultural representation, two artisans, supported by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), showcased bamboo crafts and traditional handloom products at the Sanskriti Haat in Maha Kumbh.
The rhythmic Dhamaail performance by the Bangla Sanskriti Boloy left an indelible mark on the attendees, receiving widespread appreciation from the gathering in Prayagraj.
The initiative, made possible by the Information and Culture Department of Tripura, highlighted the state’s commitment to promoting its artistic legacy on a national platform.

Notably, with initiative of the Bangla Sanskriti Boloy, weekly Haat is being regularly held at Senpara at outskirts of Agartala where SHGs open stalls.
Along with traditional Bengali cultural events, a collection of delicious Bengali food in the weekly haat is also a major attraction.
The next Weekly Haat will be held on February 16 which will focus on Kirtan and significance of Mahaprabhu Chaitanya.
