From burden to builders: Poor speeding up India's development, Tripura CM says quoting PM

For the first time in the country, the poor have got security as well as dignity. Those who were made to realize for decades that they are a burden on the development of the country, today they are speeding up the development of the country, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

 

Dr Manik Saha made a comprehensive presentation while interacting with the journalists in Agartala on Monday (May 29) highlighting the achievements during the last nine years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  

 

The chief minister said during the nine years of the Modi government, the country has emerged as a global leader while prioritizing the progress of its people across all sectors.

 

Talking about the respect and affection that the Indian prime Minister draw across the globe, Dr Saha referred to Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister’s attempt to touch the feet of Prime Minister Modi. Dr Saha also quoted the Prime Minister of Italy saying, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most loved of all world leaders”.  

 

PM-Modi-9-years-Tripura-CMThe Chief Minister of Tripura said significant transformations have taken place in the last nine years in terms of service, good governance, and the well-being of the impoverished population. ‘Progress with pace’ led to several achievements of the BJP-led central government, including the expansion of railways, roadways, and water connectivity.

 

Besides, he mentioned the provision of drinking water connections to millions of households, the distribution of cooking gas connections through the Ujjwala Yojana, and the supply of food grains to 80 crore individuals under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna which highlighted PM Modi’s Mission – ‘Every Paisa Towards Serving the Poor’.   

 

Dr Saha also hailed the prime Minister for the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme benefitted millions of beneficiaries.

 

In this connection, Dr Saha highlighted that social justice and empowerment of the society were done without appeasement. He mentioned that Development has become Kashmir’s new identity under the Prime Minister’s leadership.

 

The chief minister of Tripura further emphasized that not only the country but also the entire northeast region, including Tripura, is being recognized globally for its remarkable development in various sectors.

 

Moreover, while highlighting the various schemes and initiatives of the Modi government, the chief minister predicted that India will become the third-largest economy in the world within the next few years.

 

Dr Saha termed PM Modi’s regime as ‘9 years of preserving and protecting the environment’.

 

Accompanying the chief minister on the stage were State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, and other dignitaries.
