The MoS pointed out that the Northeast region of India is poised for rapid growth, largely due to improved physical connectivity, with companies like Deloitte, IBM, and Microsoft actively participating in this phase of skilling. NIELIT is set to partner with these companies for digital skilling programs, and in the near future, there are plans to introduce programs for farm processing, agriculture, and food processing as well.
"Heartland Tripura" project will offer a specific set of skill development certification courses through NIELIT – Agartala, along with internship opportunities for select participants. The goal is to create promising job prospects upon successful completion of the certification and internship requirements.
