Hindu Sanatani Community Holds Mass Demonstration Against Yunus-led Bangladesh Caretaker Government

The Hindu Sanatani Citizen Society of Belonia under the South Tripura District launched a fierce protest against Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the head of Bangladesh's caretaker government.

The protestors blamed him for fostering fundamentalism which is resulting in attacks on the minorities in Bangladesh.

The protest was a response to widespread violence under the caretaker government, including attacks on Hindu minorities, arson targeting homes, monasteries, and temples, and persecution. They also vented anger at the imprisonment of Hindu religious leaders including Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu.

Organized by the Hindu Sanatani Citizen Society, the demonstration began on Sunday at 4 pm in the vicinity of Belonia Hospital. Participants marched through the streets, denouncing the attacks on minority communities in Bangladesh.

They demanded an immediate cessation of violence against Hindus and Hindu temples, as well as the unconditional release of Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu.

Protesters issued a stern warning, declaring that failure to meet these demands would compel the Hindu Sanatani community to take stronger action.

The march culminated in a demonstration at the Belonia Muhuri Ghat Inter-Customs Trade Center, followed by a public meeting.

Key figures from the Hindu citizen society, including Kartik Prabhu, Arun Haldar, Acharya Shubhamitra Nanda Avadhoot, Biplab Sen, and Abhijit Debnath, addressed the gathering.

They emphasized unity and resilience in the face of ongoing violence against the minority communities in Bangladesh.
