The Hiranmoy Chakraborty Memorial Foundation will host its annual program, 'Byakti Manusher Rabindranath,' on May 23, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan, Hall Number 2 in Agartala
This year's event will commemorate the birth anniversary of the late Hiranmoy Chakraborty, a distinguished government official and a respected figure in Tripura's cultural landscape.
Chakraborty was a man of many talents. Alongside his career as a senior government officer, he actively participated in the cultural sphere.
He was a well-known writer, actor, and social worker. In 2014, he was honored with the 'Tripurash Mazumdar Shatabarsha Natya Smriti' Award for his contributions to Bengali theater.
His book 'Nirbachan: Gontantroer Jonopath,' based on his extensive experience in the Election Department, is considered a landmark work.
This year's 'Byakti Manusher Rabindranath' program will feature a distinguished panel of speakers, including:

Advocate General Siddhartha Shankar Dey
Jayanta Chattopadhyay, Eminent Bangladeshi Actor and Elocutionist
Shubh Prasad Nandy Majumdar, Renowned Bengali Musician from Kolkata
Smita Bhattacharya, Eminent Elocutionist
Shubhrajit Bhattacharya, Eminent Elocutionist
Freedom fighter and elocutionist Dalya Ahmed of Bangladesh will not be able to attend due to visa issues.
“The memorial programme is open to all and we invite all to attend it”, said Dr Sumanta Chakraborty son of late Hiranmoy Chakraborty and registrar of MBB University.
