In an exciting day of football action at the Shyam Sundar Jewellers’ Co Chandra Memorial League, both Bloodmouth Club and Nine Bullets Club secured convincing victories in their respective matches held at the Umakanta Mini Stadium on Monday.

Bloodmouth Club claimed a dominant 2-0 victory over Forward Club in the first match of the day. Right from the kickoff, Bloodmouth exhibited their attacking intent, with Chiranjan Singh putting them ahead with a stunning goal within the first five minutes. Taking an early lead, the red-and-black team kept pressing Forward Club, continuously testing their defense with aggressive plays.

Lipamkha's powerful left-footed strike seemed destined for the back of the net, but Bloodmouth's goalkeeper, Suraj Singh, made a brilliant save, ensuring his team went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.

Entering the second half, Bloodmouth increased their attacking tempo. Their efforts paid off in the 11th minute when Sukanta Jamatia skillfully scored to double the lead to 2-0. Forward Club's players, desperate to cut the deficit, launched a series of attacks, but Bloodmouth's defense, led by Suraj Singh, held firm.

Singh’s stellar performance between the posts earned him praise as he thwarted every attempt by Forward’s forwards. Midfielder Jishnu, a standout performer for Bloodmouth, was named the best player of the match for his excellent playmaking and control. Referee Satyajit Debray showed one yellow card during the match, but it did not dampen Bloodmouth’s spirits.

With this win, Bloodmouth Club is now at the top of the points table with six points from two matches, demonstrating their strong form and ambition to go all the way.

Meanwhile, in the second match of the day, Nine Bullets Club bounced back from their disappointing loss in the League opener with a commanding 3-0 victory against Ramkrishna Club.

Despite their aggressive play, they were unable to break the deadlock in the first half, with efforts from players like Shiba Debbarma, Rajib Sadhan, and Lal Rowat Lira going unconverted.

However, the second half saw Nine Bullets take full control, exploiting the gaps in Ramkrishna's midfield. Rajib Sadhan and Shiba Debbarma's persistent efforts in supplying quality passes finally bore fruit in the 18th minute when Lalrin Tulunga found the back of the net to give Nine Bullets a 1-0 lead.

Buoyed by the goal, Tulunga struck again in the 32nd minute, doubling their advantage. As Ramkrishna struggled to regain composure, Shiba Debbarma capitalized on a well-placed high center from Tulunga to seal the game with a third goal. Lalrin Tulunga, who was pivotal in the match, was deservedly named the man of the match for his two-goal heroics.

This victory marked a crucial comeback for Nine Bullets Club, especially after their opening defeat to Egiye Chalo Sangha. As one of the favorites in the tournament, Nine Bullets now enter the upcoming matches with renewed confidence and a strengthened resolve to challenge for the title.
