Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy visited the Srinagar Border Haat in Sabroom and the ONGC power plant in Palatana, Udaipur on Tuesday.
The Governor was received by South Tripura District Magistrate Smriti Mal upon his arrival at Srinagar Border Haat in Sabroom. The Governor was given a guard of honor by the South Tripura District Police.
During his visit to the border haat, he was accompanied by DIG of Border Security Force (BSF) Anil Sharma and South Tripura District Superintendent of Police Ashok Singh. The Governor was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers by the Border Haat Market Association.
Governor Indra Sena Reddy took a look around the Srinagar Border Haat and interacted with Indian and Bangladeshi buyers and sellers. At the Common Facility Center, the governor interacted with the South Tripura District Magistrate, officials from Feni District of Bangladesh, BSF DIG and Customs Department officials.
Talking to reporters, the Governor said that for a long time, sellers from both countries have been selling various products at the border haat. The Governor said he came on this visit to gain experience of the border haat. He said that buyers and sellers of both countries would have to work together to keep the border haat clean and tidy.
In the afternoon, Governor Indra Sena Reddy visited the ONGC power plant in Palatana, Udaipur. Upon her arrival there, Gomati District in-charge District Magistrate Samit Lodh, ONGC General Manager S Namobadri and other officials welcomed the Governor. The Governor was given a guard of honor by the Gomati District Police.
In a meeting held in the conference hall of the ONGC administrative building, the General Manager and officials briefed the Governor about the Palatana power project.
