Tripura News: Eye on 100 Covid vaccination: Dy CM, Social Welfare Minister visit vax centers

In an attempt to attain 100 percent Covid vaccination, Tripura Government launched a special drive from July 27 and it will continue till July 31 next. To make the drive successful, Ministers and leaders of the ruling BJP-IPFT alliance including Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb are touring vaccination centers across the State.

 

On the second day of the special Covid vaccination Drive, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma visited several vaccine centers in Boxanagar area under Sepahijala on Wednesday. Among others, Social Welfare Minister Sanatana Chakma also toured vaccination centers at Pecharthal under North Tripura District on Wednesday.

 

Jishnu Dev Varma first visited the Boxnagar Social Health Center from where he left for sub-health center of Rahimpur Gram Panchayat to inspect the Covid vaccination process. He interacted with the people of the area and appealed to the general public to take an active participation in the vaccination drive.

 

Later, he visited a monument in Boxnagar – Buddha Stupa and proceeded to visit vaccination centres at Aralia, Vijayanagar, Kamalnagar area under 20 Boxanagar assembly constituency. Continuing his tour, he went to Rabindranath Primary Hospital via Sonamura.

 

During the visit Jishnu Dev Varma was accompanied by administrative officials and party leaders.  

 

Meanwhile, Social Welfare Minister Santana Chakma said during the second day of vaccination on Wednesday. She visited the Pecharthal Primary Health Centre today to take a stock of immunization.

 

Minister Santana Chakma during her visit to the health centre urged for larger participation of people on the Covid vaccination drive and get inoculated with the COVID-19 shot to battle against the deadly disease.

 

Chakma also directed the concerned health officials to ensure that no individual in Pecharthal is left out of this special vaccination drive which is meant to ensure 100 per cent vaccination.   

Chief Medical Officer of the Unakoti district – J B Hrangkhwal along with Dr. Prasenjit Chakma accompanied the minister during her visit today at Pechartha vaccination centre.
