Rich farewell given to Justice Kureshi

Justice Akil Kureshi has been accorded a rich farewell in Agartala on Monday before he left the State. Tripura High Court Bar Association organized a farewell meeting. Justice Subhashish Talapatra, Justice Arindam Lodh and Justice SG Chattopadhaya were also present in the programme.

 

While addressing, Justice Kureshi started by saying that memories of his days in Tripura are flooding his brain, and commented, “I am returning from this State with the fondest memory”.

Meanwhile, Justice Indrajit Mahanty is scheduled to take oath at Darbar Hall in Raj Bhavan on Tuesday. Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya will administer the oath.

 

Govt announces Puja Advance for ASHA workers

 

The State Government has decided to pay festival Advance for the ASHA workers for the current financial year. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb shared this information through his social media handle.

The ASHA workers will get a Festival advance of Rs 2000 from the NHM fund for 2021-22 FY. Deb also said, the decision will benefit the ASHA workers.

Earlier, the Government announced similar benefit for Home Guards, Anganwadi workers and Helpers etc. Besides, the Festival Advance for permanent Government employees hiked to Rs 20,000 this year.

Meanwhile, the All Tripura Merchant Association welcomed the State Government’s decisions to pay Festival Advance to Government employees, Home Guards, ASHA workers and other such workers.

In a press release, secretary of the Association Sujit Roy said, “This decision of the Government has resulted in an increase in trading activities on the eve of the Durga Puja. We hail Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Finance Minister Jishnu Dev Varma for taking such a decision”.
