In view of the Corona pandemic situation, the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) has decided to cancel the Madhyamik and Higher secondary examinations for Continue, Compartmental, external and external compartmental candidates. TBSE president Dr Bhabatosh Saha announced this on Tuesday.
According to the notification uploaded in TBSE site, "As the Pandemic situation has not sufficiently improved in the State, the Expert Committee have decided to cancel the Examinations of Continuing, Compartmental, External & External Compartmental which were declared to be held w.e.f. 10*“ August, 2021 to 201“ September, 2021 vide No. F. 29(1)/LETT/EXAM/TBSH 2018, dated 01-07-2021; and the policy for tabulation of marks of the said Exams, which had been prepared by the Expert Committee, has been approved by the Govt. ofTripura on 19-07-2021."
He said, the decision to cancel the examinations was taken as per the recommendations of the expert committee formed by the State Government.
“We tentatively decided to conduct these examinations between August 10 and September 20 next. However, considering the present Covid situation, the TBSE, with the approval of the Expert Committee has decided to cancel the examinations”, Dr Saha said and added, the Expert Committee also formulated the policy for the tabulation of marks of these examinations – and the formulation was approved by the State Government on July 19 last. He also pointed out that the evaluation formula has already been uploaded in https://tbse.tripura.gov.in/
However, Dr Saha said, Single Subject, Improvement Test and Equivalence Category Exams will be conducted by TBSE when the situation will become conducive.
For the candidates who are dissatisfied with the marks received through the above criteria, their exams will be conducted by TBSE, when the situation becomes conducive for holding such examinations.
