February 08, 2018: In Jammu and Kashmir, a woman was killed in heavy mortar shelling by Pakistan army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district today.

Defence sources told AIR that Pakistan army started unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars in Krishna Ghati sector along the LoC in Poonch around 5 this evening.
The Indian side retaliated effectively and intermittent exchange of fire was continuing when last reports came in.
Over twenty border posts and almost an equal number of villages and hamlets are affected in shelling. Further details are awaited. (AIR News)
