60-day Annual Amarnath Yatra concludes

August 26, 2018: The annual Amarnath Yatra concludes today on the day of Shravan Purnima; nearly three lakh Yatris pay obeisance at the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine; The 60 day Yatra had commenced on 28th of June.

In Jammu & Kashmir, the annual Amarnath Yatra will conclude today on the day of Shravan Purnima coinciding with Raksha Bandhan. The 60-day-long yatra, which commenced from June 28 from both traditional Pahalgam and shortest Baltal tracks, will conclude when the Chhari Mubarak, holy Silver Mace of Lord Shiva will be taken inside the cave shrine for final puja.

Over 2 lakh 84 thousand Yatris paid obeisance at the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine this year. (DD News)
