BJP Turns to Next-Gen Leadership, Elevates Nitin Nabin
New Delhi/Patna Dec 15: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s decision to appoint Nitin Nabin as its National Working President has triggered widespread enthusiasm within party ranks, particularly in Bihar, with leaders hailing the move as a strong endorsement of youth leadership and organisational merit.
According to an official communication issued by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, Nitin Nabin has assumed charge as National Working President with immediate effect. The move is being seen as a strategic step by the BJP to strengthen youth participation and reinforce merit-based leadership at the highest levels of the party’s organisational framework.
Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal said the appointment has infused a fresh sense of pride and optimism among BJP workers and supporters across the state. Speaking to IANS, he noted that the elevation of a relatively young leader to a key national position has generated excitement, especially among the youth, while reinforcing the message that age is no barrier to reaching the highest levels of leadership in the party.
Jaiswal said the development has created a wave of happiness throughout Bihar, as party workers see the rise of one of their own to a crucial organisational role at the national level, inspiring young members to remain committed and active in the BJP’s political journey.
Adding to the chorus of praise, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dharmshila Gupta said the decision once again underlines the party’s emphasis on recognising dedication and performance rather than background or identity. She said the BJP provides equal opportunities to workers from all sections of society — including women, youth, senior members and those from marginalised communities — as long as they demonstrate commitment and responsibility.
Gupta said such leadership elevations are possible because the BJP consistently rewards sustained hard work, making it distinct from other political organisations.
BJP MLA Ram Kadam also welcomed the appointment, stating that the party’s internal structure allows grassroots workers to steadily rise through the ranks. He said the BJP’s organisational culture enables even a booth-level functionary to aspire for the highest positions, provided they show dedication and capability.
Kadam said appointing a leader who has repeatedly won electoral mandates despite his young age reflects the party’s confidence in Nitin Nabin’s organisational skills and leadership potential.

The appointment was cleared by the BJP Parliamentary Board on Sunday, following the completion of the term of the party’s National President JP Nadda. With discussions on the next full-time national president underway, the party leadership has temporarily entrusted Nabin with the important organisational responsibility.
