PM greets the nation on Dhanteras

ProMASS, Oct 28, 206: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has greeted the nation on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras. “धनतेरस के पावन अवसर पर सभी देशवासियों को शुभकामनाएं। Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras,” the Prime Minister said.

Notably, Dhanteras is being celebrated across the country today. It is celebrated two days before Diwali. Dhanteras is also known as Dhantryaodashi or Dhanwantri Triodasi. People purchase precious metals on this day with a belief that they will bring prosperity. Besides Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains also celebrate this festival on a large scale.
