Agartala, July 01, 2019: In view of ensuing Panchayat polls in Tripura and national membership drive, North East Zonal Secretary of BJP, Ajay Jamwal today held two consecutive meetings with State party leaders. Party’s national membership drive is slated to begin from July 06 next. Jamwal also held discussion on ensuing Panchayat elections.
Jamwal who arrived in Agartala this morning, held a meeting with party’s state committee to discuss over the membership drive which is likely to be started from July 06 next. In the meeting, the party leaders were asked to set up a target to increase party membership in the state.
Discussions were also held on various factors that are influencing party’s growth in the state – the meeting focused on party’s organization in Tripura. Later on, another meeting was convened in the evening with state’s election committee of the party to chalk out ways to achieve better results in the ensuing elections. According to party sources, the meetings may continue till midnight.
