February 04, 2018: Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani today held a rally at Rangrung Tea-garden School ground in support of BJP candidates of Kailasahar Town and Chandipur Assembly Constituencies under Unakoti District.
Speaking at the rally, she launched series of verbal attacks against the Left Front Government. “The LF Government is not implementing recommendations of the 7th CPC, however, taking away money from the employees in the name of elections”, she said and appealed people to ponder over the attitude of the Leftists.
She slammed the Manik Sarkar led Government for its failure in ensuring development while rest of the country was marching forward. “Under leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is striding forward, overcoming economic and external difficulties while, LF ruled Tripura is lagging behind on education, health, job and other sectors”, she said.
On atrocities on women, Smriti Irani expressed concern. She said, it is shocking to know that the State Government has completely failed in ensuring safety for women. “Growing incidences of rape, molestation and death of women in the State has become a major headache. The Left Front Government – during its long tenure –failed to establish rule of the law in the State and depriving the poor people from getting justice”, she commented.
Hailing Modi-Government’s pro-people policies, Smriti Irani mentioned about MudraYojana and other social welfare schemes. She urged rural people to take advantage of the schemes like Mudra Yojna, Ujjala etc.
