The state government has decided to provide 3 percent annual increment to its employees.
The decision has been taken by the council of ministers on Thursday amid financial constraints following the COVID19 situation, Education minister Ratanlal Nath told the media.
According to Nath, the state government employees get annual increment either in January or in July.
“An additional fund of Rs. 139,32,80,000 will be required to provide the three percent increment—Rs. 110,83,000,00 will be required for increment on 01.07.2020 and the amount will stand at Rs. 28,49,80,000 on 01.01.2021,” the Education minister said.
Meanwhile, the Education minister also announced that the accreditation committee in its last meeting had recommended for providing accreditation cards to 31 journalists.
“Total 36 journalists had applied for accreditation card. The committee has found some discrepancies in the papers submitted by five journalists. Finally, the committee has made recommendations for 31 journalists,” Nath said adding that the state government would issue the accreditation cards in accordance with the guidelines.
He also said no police verification is required to get the accreditation cards.
