Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagawat Kisanrao Karad,who arrived in Tripura on Monday, paid courtesy visits to Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and discussed several issues pertaining to growth and development of the State.
In his discussion with the Chief Minister, the Union Minister, Dr Karad was accompanied by Pratima Bhowmik, the MoS for Social Justice and Empowerment.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb apprised Union Minister Dr Karad of the various steps taken by the Tripura Government for the growth of the economy of Tripura.
According to a government press release, Deb also highlighted the important tourist locations of the state.
Later the Chief Minister in a social media post mentioned that they had discussed strategies to transform Tripura into a model state as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Deb wrote, “Met with Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad Ji in my chamber today.
We discussed strategies to make #Tripura a model state as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.”
During the meeting, Secretary of Finance, Government of Tripura- Brijesh Pandey was present.
The Union Minister of State in his courtesy meeting with the Governor also discussed various important matters.
