In yet another successful endeavour, for the first time medical teams of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP hospital, the main referral hospital of the State, performed a hip replacement procedure on a 50-year old woman patient, Brindabati Chakma of Gandachhera under Dhalai District in Tripura.

The first ever total hip replacement surgery on Brindabati Chakma has been conducted on Monday. The surgery took around three and half hours.
This yet another success came following the state government’s special focus on harnessing the public health system along with the dedicated service delivery by the efficient healthcare professionals.
