Some of the political leaders are attempting to create a division among the people in Tripura in line with the religion and region, said BJP Tripura Prabhari Vinod Sonkar in Dharmanage on Friday while commenting on the present political situation in the State. He added, those leaders are trying to ensure their political existence. However, such leaders will not be able to run the show for a long time, people will expose their real faces, the leader asserted.
On another note, Sonkar hailed the activities of the Biplab Deb-led Government. In this connection, he said, people want development and Biplab Deb-led Government has done a lot of developmental works in the State during the last three-and-half years, said BJP State Prabhari Vinod Sonkar in Dharmanagar on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sonkar attended an organizational meeting of BJP at Dharmanagar in which Deputy Speaker Biswabandhu Sen, North District BJP president Malina Debnath member of the central committee Panna Sharma and other leaders of the party were present.
According to party sources, Sonkar and other leaders discussed the upcoming 25-ward Dharmanagar Municipal Council polls and reviewed preparations. The party leaders also streamlined future plans of action. In the meeting, all the 25 candidates of the saffron party were present. Sonkar reviewed the poll preparedness in each of the wards.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Sonkar said, people of Tripura want peace and development. In comparison with the 25-year regime of the previous government, the 44 months old incumbent government has made laudable progress in developing the State, he said.
