Left Front of Tripura unit has announced partial list of candidates for Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) polls scheduled to be held on November 25 next.
The nomination filing process started from today and will continue till November 3 next.
West district secretary of CPM, Ratan Das flanked by Left Front leaders published the partial list of 35 candidates for 51-seat AMC in Agartala today.
Among the Left Front constituents, CPM fielded candidates in 29 seats out of 35 seats for which candidates were announced today. In this list, remaining six seats were distributed among CPI (3), RSP (2) and Forward Bloc (1).
All of the 35 Left Candidates submitted nominations to Sadar SDM in Agartala today.
Speaking to the media, Ratan Das said names for remaining 16 seats could not be announced today due to delay in furnishing required documents for nominations. He said that the Left Front would announce names for remaining 16 seats soon.
