A woman cricketer and a medico of Tripura have brought cheers for the State.
Tripura Cricket is gradually reaching new heights. A young woman cricketer- Tanisha Das from Tripura has been selected in the Indian U-19 squad for the Challenger Trophy 2021.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb hailed the achievement of this young talent.
The U-19 Challenger Trophy will be held in Jaipur from October 25 to November 7 next.
Tripura cricket lovers including the Tripura Cricket Association (TCA) officials started pouring good wishes on social media platforms for Tanisha Das.
On behalf of the TCA, Kishore Kumar Das has gifted a new cricket bat to the young cricketer. The people of Tripura are proud of her achievement. The netizens are conveying good wishes for her success.
Meanwhile, a son of the soil, Dr. Anindya Debnath, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon has earned international accolade for the state with his research on ‘A Retrospective Cohort Study’. He will be awarded for his research at Boston in America in the year 2023 next.
Addressing a press conference on Saturday at Belonia, Dr. Anindya Debnath briefed about his glorious achievements and said that his research paper of “Medium-Term Results of One Stage VS Two-Stage Bilateral MPFL Reconstruction for Bilateral Patellofemoral Joint Instability: A Retrospective Cohort Study” was accepted for presentation at ISAKOS Biennial Conference Nov 2021 (CAPE TOWN. South Africa). He has also been invited to give a Lecture at ISAKOS Biennial Conference in BOSTON, the USA in June 2023.
Dr. Debnath also won the Young Investigator’s Award for the year 2021 (Globally, up to twenty researchers get this award every 2 years). He said the same shall be awarded to him in the year 2023 at Boston in America.
