In a politically significant rally in which Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was present, over 1300 voters joined the saffron brigade in Belonia under South Tripura on Tuesday.
The Belonia sub-division is known as the fort of CPM leader Badal Chowdhury. He enjoys a noticeable influence among a considrable section of people in the sub-division. He glued the veterans and youths well and was trying to nurture the local Party organization for revival.
However, today’s rally of the Chief Minister surely has hit hard the organizational castle built by Badal Chowdhury over the years. The blow will be hard to swallow for Chowdhury and also for the Leftists.
In one of the biggest joining programmes, BJP, not just, consolidated its position in the Sub-division but also significantly weakened an influential veteran leader. The saffron brigade has many reasons to rejoice while the Leftists are licking its wounds.
The Massive gathering, spontaneous sloganeering – all signified a noticeable political transition in favour of the saffron party in Belonia and adjoining areas. Importantly, the transition in Belonia will also cast an impact in other areas in the South District
When Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb entered the venue, there was a massive gathering of the people—they virtually changed the political atmosphere in Belonia with the party slogans.
Overwhelmed by the huge response he received in the rally, Deb said it was the outcome of the transparent governance.
He said that there was no allegation of collecting commission or central deprivation in the state now as the government was working with the goal of transforming Tripura into an Atmanirbhar State.
Highlighting the various pro-people initiatives of the government, Deb said that the state government had already taken several steps for socio-economic growth of the farmers’ and to ensure infrastructure development.
Meanwhile, before joining the rally, the Chief Minister also took part in two other party programmes at Belonia— he opened an Outdoor Gym facility at BKI ground as well as participated in the Karyakarini Meet of BJP Kisan Morcha at Sachin Dev Burman auditorium.
