Healthcare services at district and sub-divisional levels in Tripura received a major boost after Oxygen (O2) plants were installed at hospitals at Gomati, Khowai, Dhalai and North Tripura districts.

State Agriculture, Transport and Tourism minister Pranajit Singha Roy on Thursday launched a newly installed oxygen plant at Tripura Sundari Sub-Divisional Hospital in Udaipur. MLA Biplab Kumar Ghosh, Gomti District District Magistrate Ravel Hemendra Kumar, former Chairperson of Udaipur Municipal Council Shitalchandra Majumder, District Chief Medical Officer Nirumohan Jamatia among others remained present in the programme.

Minister Pranajit Singha Roy had said that oxygen plants have been set up at Udaipur Sub-Divisional Hospital as well as Gomati District Hospital and these plants had been installed with the funds of PM Cares Fund.

An Oxygen plant was inaugurated at Amarpur sub-divisional Hospital today. MLA Ranjit Das inaugurated the plant in presence of SDM Bijoy Sinha, SDMO Subhendu Debbarma and other dignitaries.

“A new feather has been added at Amarpur Sub-divisional Hospital with the installation of Oxygen plant. This will immensely benefit patients of Amarapur, Gandachhera, Raishyabari, Karbook, Ampi and other areas”, the MLA said.

Chief Whip of the state legislative assembly Kalyani Roy on Thursday hailed the chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb for taking steps to harness the health infrastructure in the state.

The MLA on Thursday inaugurated the newly constructed Oxygen Plant at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital and said that the Tripura government under the leadership of Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb had put an utmost effort in improving and upgrading the health infrastructure across the state ensuring better health care facilities for the people of this state.

Teliamura Panchayat Samiti Chairman Jamuna Das, BDO Shantanu Bikash Das of Teliamura Block, SDM Pradeep Debbarmar, MOIC of Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital Ajit Debbarma and members of Hospital Development Committee among others remained present in the programme on Thursday.

After inaugurating the oxygen plant, MLA Kalyani Roy said the plant was constructed using the fund of the PM’s PM Care fund. She said that the oxygen plant will help to ease the crisis of oxygen throughout the Teliamura sub-division.
