Rights Protection Body submits memo to Assit High Commissioner of Bangladesh
A delegation of the Democratic Rights Protection Organisation (DRPO) submitted a memorandum to the Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh mission in Agartala on Thursday condemning the atrocities on Hindu minorities of Bangladesh during the ‘Durga Puja’ festival. The delegation also demanded stern actions for the safety and security of the minorities. They also demanded compensation be paid to the victims’ families.
The DRPO delegation led by the president of the organization D.K. Das Choudhury and secretary Subrata Sarkar comprising of Gopal Debnath (Treasurer), Subhas Das and Arup Ratan Sarma submitted the memorandum and expressed hope that the Bangladesh Government, people and Political parties of Bangladesh will take concrete steps to maintain the legacy of communal harmony, tolerance and amity of Bangladesh.
The Assistant High Commissioner assured the delegation that he would forward the memorandum to the appropriate authority.
3-day recruitment rally for ADC youth to start from Oct 25
Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) administration will conduct a three-day-long recruitment rally at Naui auditorium from October 25 next for the benefit of unemployed youths of the ADC area, said Deputy Chief Executive Member Animesh Debbarma on Thursday.
He said that Raymond, a well-known fashion brand in India has agreed to hire youths from the ADC area. The company will hire a total of 350 candidates. The willing candidates must have passed at least class VIII exams and must have experience in sewing. Candidates aged between 18 and 25 years could apply for the job.
Moreover, the company will also hire 35 male dress masters. The applicants should have a minimum qualification of Madhyamik pass.
The selected candidates will have to go through a 3-month long training. The trainees will be provided free Fooding and lodging during the training period. Besides, they will receive Rs. 7000 and Rs. 8500 as monthly allowances respectively for the posts of sewing and dress masters.
After completing the training, the candidates will get salaries and the facilities like E.P.F and group insurance as usual.
The candidates who are willing to take part in the rally should carry four copies of photographs, Aadhar card, school certificate and A.C certificate, Debbarma said and added, more such job rallies are in the pipeline of ADC administration.
