Amidst largescale exodus, Congress is the only alternative to the BJP in Tripura. In view of the present chaotic political scenario in the State, people will choose Congress as the substitute force in coming Assembly polls. Tripura Pradesh Congress president Birjit Sinha said in Dharmanagar while interacting with the media.
“Our state is experiencing an uncomfortable and chaotic political situation. Incumbent BJP has failed to fulfill the promises. In its pre-poll promise-list, BJP asserted that it would pass a decision pertaining to jobs for 60 thousand youths in the very first Cabinet after assuming power. How many jobs were provided, so far”, Sinha asked.
He claimed that it was the Congress-TUJS coalition government that provided the highest number of jobs to youth during its regime. “The Cong-TUJS government had provided jobs even to those candidates who crossed the age limit for jobs. But the BJP government has failed to act according to its promises”, the State Cong chief commented.
He exuded hope, people will vote for Congress as it is a special political party and a secular party.
On the party’s upcoming programmes, Sinha said the party will conduct agitation in Agartala demanding 27 per cent reservation for OBC people.
